Círculo del Arte is a club of collectors and friends of art, that offer to their members and clients original visual art by contemporary artists, fine arts photographs, and illustrated books for the collector.

The club was born in Barcelona in 1994 on the initiative of a group of artists, publishers, and gallerists of international renown. The main aim is to make available original visual artworks by great creators and to promote the collecting of high-quality prints of different types. Among the original group were painters such as Antonio Saura and Eduardo Arroyo, art historian and ex-director of the Prado Francisco Calvo Serraller, the gallerist and publisher Roland Haenssel of Stuttgart, and publisher Hans Meinke, the current director of Círculo del Arte.

Círculo del Arte also has a spacious, well-appointed exhibition room and shop in its Barcelona headquarters in the Born neighbourhood. Work by great artists is regularly shown here, along with cultural events. Visual art and art books are on sale, and select gifts of design and artisan works are given.
