Photographer Simona Rota offers her particular critical visions of architecture and the connection with the surroundings, managing to reflect impenetrable atmospheres with finely ironic perspectives. This sort of irreverent look of the urbanized scenery has also been applied on inhabited interiors, creating almost dream-like realities. Providing each image with her own vision of the elements, putting them into context, an aspect which may not have been considered during its construction.
The poetry of abandonment, the irrelevance between landscape and architecture or between construction and social reality is one of the guiding axis of her exterior work. Also, this oppressive trait of abandonment is treated in the same romantic and poetic way in interiors, creating an everyday feeling completely illusionary.
