Death unites us and universalized . It shows a different world at times and the realities of which we live during the process of loss. At the same time makes us reflect on one's own existence and that of those around us , playing with the presences and absences , between emotions and relationships.
Rocío Verdejo exposes this process an almost cinematographic aesthetic image near 50s. Shows her memories and family ones of those processes of loss and acceptance to the unavoidable. In her photographs the presence of death is subtle, everyday, approaching the protagonists and normalizing the situation without taking drama and transcendence. In this way, she gets done close to the public, which can be recognized in the lack of oxygen they breathe in her compositions. Ironic everyday images in which a first look calls for more and requires a thorough review of the entire scene, where all the details add up to that ubiquitous circumstances posed by the lack of life. A reflection on the ephemeral nature of life.
