The Royal House was born as a need to show through photography the increased of social inequities in all its aspects. Paco Puentes, these inequalities are caused and organized by the ruling classes, concerned that this distance between themselves and the rest is greater. The economic and political power grows the distance between people, thus causing social tensions increase.
The works that make up the project are photographs of objects found in shanty towns abandoned. Objects that were once acquired to form part of a home, to be useful, to improve the quality of life, objects that became everyday life of someone, and then they became unnecessary, useless, hopeless, interchangeable with other objects that due to the economic and social situation in which we were reused, raised by others to form a necessary part of life again ... a real home. Photographing these types of elements in a new location, forming a composition isolated from the rest of the character of solitude and abandonment suffered a specific social sector is enhanced.
